The Department of Mechanical Engineering was set up in the year 2009.The Department has the following up to date laboratories with all specified equipment and instruments:

• Automobile Laboratory
• Machine Tools Laboratory
• Strength of Materials Laboratory
• Fluid Mechanics and Machinery Laboratory
• Metallurgical Laboratory
• Metrology Laboratory
• Dynamics & Instrumentation Laboratory
• Mechanical / Automation Laboratory

The Mechanical Engineering laboratories are manned by experienced teaching and non teaching staff, specialized in the following areas:

• Programming
• Graphics
• Multimedia
• Web Designing & Programming
• System Software and Compiler Design
• Software Development

The Department in additions offers awareness programmes on I.T enabled services and programmes on I.T enabled services and programmes on high level Languages for the students of these and other departments as also to public servants.
